An incredible act of forgiveness...

A 28 year old man gets off from work, heads home to relax, watches some tv and enjoys some ice cream. It was then that police officer, Amber Guyger accidentally went into Botham Jean's apartment, mistakenly thinking it was her apartment, and shot him. We've seen this story, watched it unfold. We've seen his family weep on the stand, we've seen the same from Guyger. This week Guyger was sentenced to 10 years in prison, even though prosecutors had asked for a 28 year sentence. During the sentencing, Botham's younger brother, Brandt, 18, asked the judge if he could hug Amber. The judge, obviously surprised by the request, allowed it. Brandt told Amber that he "loves her as a person" and he "doesn't wish anything bad on her". The judge, Tammy Kemp, and the entire courtroom as was stunned at the display of forgiveness, so much so that Judge Kemp even hugged Guyger and gave her her own Bible. Here's the video:
