Brantley Gilbert and his wife, Amber, just welcomed their second child! Their baby girl, Braylen Hendrix Gilbert, was born on Monday (September 9) and is now the youngest child of the Gilbert family behind the couple's first born son, Barrett.
According to People, baby Braylen weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz., and measured 19.5 inches long.
"It's such a blessing for us to welcome Braylen and both momma and baby girl are doing great," Gilbert shared.
The couple announced that they were having their second child in March of 2019, after having a gender reveal party, which based on a box full of large pink balloons, revealed they were having a girl.
The news of baby number two hit Gilbert hard. "Oh, I cried! Gilbert says. "I was so sure it was a boy. I wasn't ready for it to be a girl- and man, when it was! I just wanted a healthy, happy baby, but a little girl means a whole other deal."
The couple's first child, son Barrett Hardy-Clay Gilbert was born November of 2017. Gilbert admits he's getting to a point where he's "okay letting him tough it out." Although with his baby girl, it might be a different story. "I think a girl is going to be a whole new level of everything, and I'm ready. I already know she's gonna own me, and that's okay," Gilbert adds.
On top of adjusting to life with a new baby girl, Gilbert is also preparing for the release of his new album, Fire & Brimstone on October 4. Next year kicking off on January 23, Gilbert will also set out on a 30-plus city trek for his "Fire't Up Tour."
