Kane Brown paid tribute to the legendary Randy Travis when he posted a video singing one of his timeless country ballads.
“Anyone ever have a song stuck on repeat,” Brown wrote in his caption as he shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday (February 21). Brown delivered his rendition of “Forever and Ever, Amen,” which Travis debuted in the late 1980s on his album Always & Forever. Some Instagram users commented to applaud Brown’s rendition and express their appreciation for the Travis classic they listened to while growing up.
Brown's friendship with Travis goes back several years. He previously shared a heartfelt moment with Travis on stage at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee, where he received the International Award at the 16th annual ACM Honors. Travis took the stage with his wife, Mary Davis, to present Brown with the award. Davis reflected on Brown’s friendship with Travis over the years, saying on stage at the time: “It’s a fascinating story about two men who have never really had a traditional conversation together. Kane came along a couple of years after Randy’s stroke, that’s when they first met. But somehow there was this love, and it’s never gone away, never diminished. …it was Randy that wished you the best eight years ago, when he saw you on social media. But it has been you, Kane, that has given us your best in the last eight years, and we wish you all the success in the world.”
